Partnering with Compassion UK to Release Children from Poverty

Since 2010, JPIM has been honoured to partner with Compassion UK, a charity dedicated to releasing children from poverty in Jesus’ name. Through this partnership, we have helped connect sponsors with children across the world, giving them the opportunity to break free from poverty and build a brighter future.

Through Compassion UK’s child sponsorship programme, children receive:

  • Nutritious meals and regular health check-ups

  • Access to education and life-changing skills

  • Spiritual and emotional support

  • Stronger, healthier local communities that can thrive independently

Our partnership began after Apostle Jacqueline’s life-changing visit to Accra, Ghana, in October 2010, where she witnessed firsthand the difference Compassion UK makes in children’s lives. Moved by what she saw, she led poetry workshops for local children, helping them share their hopes and dreams through creative expression.

Reflecting on the experience, Apostle Jacqueline said:

“These are just ordinary children like any other who need others to look out for them. It is our privilege at JPIM to sow into and support the incredible work Compassion UK is doing.”

Since that first trip, Apostle Jacqueline and the members from JPIM have visited Compassion projects in Uganda and continue to expand their support to other countries—helping more children experience freedom, dignity, and hope.

My Child Uganda  

In April 2017, June 2019 and October 2022 a team led by Apostle Jacqueline went to Uganda to fulfil the heart of the mission’s arm of JPIM, which is to go into all regions of the world to be the hands and feet of Jesus, making disciples of many.  

The call to bring transformation to lives involved working in partnership with MyChild to support a local school and the Mount Olive Foundation, to provide access to basic needs for children, the homeless, the poor, disabled and orphans.  

We have been moved by the way we have seen the Holy Spirit move during these visits. For example, because of the generosity of our partners, we were able to provide basic supplies to the single parents and widows, which MyChild, supported by Life Empowerment Church, then distributed to those who needed them the most. 

The pastors and leaders were ministered to through training sessions from our wholeness programmes and over 1500 church congregation attendees were encouraged, challenged and refreshed by the Holy Spirit and word of God through conferences. 

A new school was started as a result of the work of God through the ministry. Fresh visions came alive, hope was restored, marriages strengthened, and over 120 senior pastors and leaders stirred up and encouraged to revive their congregations through the fresh teaching on leadership through the Holy Spirit.  This teaching was coupled with key elements from JPIM’s Wholeness Academy Programmes. 

This is just the tip of the iceberg of the beautiful service of works God has called us to do in His kingdom globally and we are excited about the next phase.
